Austin Chenge makes history with African Tricycle design

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, orders 20 tricycles made by an indigene of the State, Mr Stine Chenge.

Ortom placed the order at the Benue Peoples House, when Mr. Chenge presented one of the vehicles to him. The Governor stated that the order was a demonstration of his support for the initiative, which he urged other youths to emulate.

Mr Chenge Said

I came up with the idea to make the tricycles which he named Wazobiakeke so that transportation could be more affordable to farmers in the rural areas in support of the agricultural program of the Ortom administration.

According to the Governor, his administration was committed to collaborating with indigenes and other partners who had creative ideas that could contribute to the development of the state. He expressed hope that the order would enable Mr Chenge to produce more of the cycles and also venture into more production of the brand
